I am working on a mini royal, I believe it is a bally 6000. Anyway, I got a code 81 and changed the battery out. Now I get a code 87f. How do I clear the safe ram? Oh, I am a newbie on this particular machine.

On the Bally 6000 before performing a "clear",  does the DS1 need to 8th dipswitch "ON" or "OFF"?
Also, the jumpers JW12 and JW20 on my board is soldered together.
For the life of me, I cannot get the clear chips to go into the "Clear" sequence as shown in your video.
I have "8100" and every bulb flashing at a very high rate and never get to the "CH P" or "CL P".

ADD>> I "read" the RamClear chips and these are my results:

U28 ST M27C2001 checksum:0xC047
U43 ST M27C2001 checksum:0x8901

Are these ^^^ correct?

Hi Mark,
The dip switch doesn't matter with newer chips.  Change your battery then try the clear.  81 (00) = low battery.

Thanks,
Wayne
