Hi, guys..

IMA newbie on the forum and so far today I have talked to Ben of Fanni Slots and then Joey at New Life Games.  And both have tried to help me out with my IGT S-plus Black Cherry and Wild Cherry and 145SS Bill Validators but am still having problems!

Joey, told me to find the RSP for the SP731 chip setup on the forum (if I have that right) and I am having a problem locating that.   What am I doing wrong?  I did the search thing but no luck?

If I don't get these machines up and running my husband is gonna scrap them for parts and they are too nice for that!

We have done a Ram Clear Chip on both machines and put the game Eproms back in. Gone the whole route making sure they reflect 9-1 for the bill validator enabled and the denomination is set to a quarter.  Pushed the test buttons to retain changes into memory.   Still no light up on the DBV.   Now these machines were just working fine with the validators till we decided to put in the new 3.6V batteries!   Now this.. so what are we doing wrong?  I can't believe both machines could have bad motherboards or whateer at the same time.. any thoughts?

Then we even went as far to try and reset bill validator using a Set 90 chip but got stonewalled with that one too asking for all game tilts to be cleared first? I got the set 90 chip off the place I got the machines.. Slot Warehouse.  I can't remember if Ben or Joey said I might need a Set 15 chip.. so what' the diff in that and a Set 90 chip?

Now get this when I put the DBV validator out of the Wild Cherry and the Black Cherry into my IGT S-plus New York, New York, the DBV and the power supply works fine? Go figure.. so I am thinking that it is a setting or something we are missing doing on the BC and WC with that same DBV? But, just can't put our finger on it?

IS it possible there is a diff in Ram Clear chips for different S-plus games?  I have tried both sets.. one set I bought from AZ slots years ago and the other set from another slot parts supplier off ebay.   I have used both in the past with no problems on other Splus machines?

Give me your thoughts please!

Thank you!

I just have to ask, have you set your bill credit limit yet? validator will not enable if set to zero.
