We have these under every linked progressive bank. When we try to read progressive reset values and incrementation rates we get a Could not check controller version. Using  super link light ver. 1.74. We were able to read about a month ago. But something happened.  We are using the rs232 port to a 8p8c jumper someone made. Pin 5 to Pin 6: Pin 3 to Pin 5: Pin 2 to Pin 4. That small jumper is hooked up to a straight wired rs232 jumper. We had a tech transfer files to make both our laptops the same recently. Not sure if any files got corrupted. I don't think they would. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm new to all of this and don't have a clue.
Thanks.

I can't comment on the specifics of this problem as I have never seen this version of the software.

On the older Mikon software and in particular to the the RS232 connection - we need to modify the 9pin serial cable.

You obviously cannot do this with a USB cable but you connect a 9pin Rs232 to the end of the USB 9pin connector and modify that.

Here is a link to a post that contains the PDF on exactly what to modify.
