Hello to everybody,
I have a few Williams 550(not sure) 19 inch slant top machines and i need to connect them to a progressive system, the progressive system is working with the sas protocol, but we are also using accounting system so for that reason i need to connect them on the secondary sas port. I have made the settings in the machines to enable the secondary serial port, but i cannot find it physical, not evan know if it is rs232 or TTL, can anyone tell me for sure witch is? And i really need an answer fast because i have a plane to catch.
By the way some guy told me that it might be on the top box connector ( rx-11 tx12 gnd 24) but i cannot get anything from there

Thanks in advance

Adrian Sandu.

If you cannot locate a physical secondary serial port, I'd advise you to use
whatever is available so you can catch your plane.  rotflmao

I would get on the horn and give Williams a call.
Be ready to supply them with necessary info they'll need.
Make, model, etc.etc...

There are a total of 3 Serial ports if I remember correctly and one is on the TOP BOX Connector which is used by the topbox to communicate to a top board game like a dual screen.  Take a look at the wiring diagram in the manual and follow it from there, you need the 28MB version that has the layouts.

Something tells me if you are calling about a 550 then one does not have a valid account with WMS.

I never called Williams, or IGT or Bally or etc, etc.
I'm just a homeowner - they probably wouldn't give me the time of day!  rotflmao
I thought maybe sandu adrian might have an account with them?
Figuring he might get some tech help perhaps?

WMS no longer supports the 550 so no need to call them.
