Similar to another thread, I too have a no sound problem. Mine is an E2091-141. Here's what I know:

Pressing the test button on the sound card works ONLY if the ribbon cable is unplugged. Plugging the ribbon cable back in immediately mutes the test tones.

The P1 chip is p/n 550489. Does this game chip support sound? Btw, hand written on the chip is E2242-94.

In a similar thread there is a mention of a "daughter board". Where is that supposed to be located? Right now the ribbon cable coming from the sound card goes directly to a matching connector on the I/O board.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thnx foxsslots1. Is that daughter board a part I can purchase thru you? I'm also obviously in need of a manual and/or wiring diagrams for this unit.

My slot, E2332-10 has this board....
The ribbon cable runs up to the sound board.

Here's a pic;

Thanks Todd for the pic. That certainly is the definitive answer for location and orientation.

I've got one on order from Foxsslots1 and have my fingers crossed that solves the problem. It's odd there are machines out here with sound cards installed but missing that critical component.
