Have a bally 5500-"wild party", was trying to set the reels from normal to crazy reels. Manual says the pro-slot 5500 supports the crazy wheels sel. by moving dip sw. #7 from on(normal), to off(crazy wheels). Tried this but nothing changed. Am I missing something else to do? Manual says Supports crazy wheels, do I have to add some other software?

Thank-you much guys!! Just cleared ram and I now have crazy reels! Didn't know that! Just started learning slots. Appreciate the help. Will probably be writing back shortly, am about to change machine from a dollar machine to a quarter. Changing out hopper and coin setting. Thanks again! Jim!

For those of us not in the Bally loop, what are Crazy Reels?

Reels spin randomly in opposite directions.

I've never tried it on my machines. How often do they do that once the option is set?

every spin any reel could go in any direction.  I set up my brother's machine that way, he hates it and wants me to change it back.

Thanks,
Wayne

Thanks. I might try it on my 4-reel. That would be interesting. propeller

I did it on my Bonus Frenzy but it spins that way when you get the respin on the bonus reel, so having them spin all the time that way took away from it.

I sounds like it would be better turned off for that game. My 4-reel is a Super Continental with fruit symbols. I think it would be fun for a while.

It's pretty neat for a change. Even though the outcome of the spin is pre-determined by the program, it just looks like a more random of a hit, rather the same spin left to right. Just my two cents.

I tried it for a while but didn't like it.  Was used to the normal order of things.   I think your game and Haywire would more suited for crazy spins.
