Can you set an S2000 Multi denom machine to take coins directly to the game?  I recall playing machines in Vegas that had a button called cash/credit.  When in the cash mode, inserted coins went directly to the game.  Any coins inserted beyond the max bet were applied to credit.  When in the credit mode, all coins were applied to credit.  The latter is how my machine currently operates.

Thanks in advance,

Jack

Yes, my S2000 is set that way "Montana Credits", there is a setting in the menus to have all coin to go to credit.

Not sure what Montana credits are.  In Operator mode - 3.1 Machine Options - 3.1.1 Credit Mode, I cannot make any changes.  It is locked on Credit Mode.  Jack

I believe that setting is actually in the key chip menu, because it depends on what the gaming regulations require.
That only works on single denom machines though.

Multi-denom cant allow coin to game instead of credit due to the fact you can change denom before the next bet is made.
Once a bet is made you cant change the denom.
You cant change a bet on a table once placed after game is started (except games that allow it)
Once a bet is placed on a machine the game is considered in progress outcome is determined just not known by the player until the reels are spun and stop on the outcome.

But How do you change the setting to "Coins to game and Credit?" I have a Haywire Deluxe s2000 and the option menu to change the option is not there or the machine will not let me do it. What can I Do?

It's probably one of these two things>>>

Either the chip installed doesn't allow it ...
                 or
You may need a Keychip17 from one of the vendors
to open up the options to let you change the settings?

That is a keychip menu option

You push the white button for 3 seconds on the MPU board and scroll though the menus until you run across the Key Chip Config I or Key Chip Config II. You can review the settings on both but it takes a key chip to change them.
