I am looking for help with my Frankenstein topper that I have, I got this topper off of EBay with out the plexi insert, Removed the progressive meter that was in it
keeping it because someday I hope to own a S2000, I put in a Mikohn Cham II+ progressive meter in and was hoping Someone could tell me how to set up this meter to display only one color with the PSP software

I also picked up a Cham 44 meter 8x64 Dot Matrix led signs with led4 driver board and am hoping Someone can tell me all what I need to get to connect this and get it working.

Kibble-

Your post would probably get a better response in the appropriate progressive section as it's all about progressive meters.  propeller

For the ChamII+, you just need to choose a different MFILE setting to select a single static color -- your choices are red, yellow, or green, and the manual lists which MFILE numbers correspond to which color setting.

I can't offer much help with the Cham 44/LED4 as I've never used one, but the folks in the Mikohn section should be able to help.

Well that was to easy thanks for the help on this it took longer to get my PC to communicate with the mikohn board.

I bought another topper complete with the plexi this time and hopefully it will come tomorrow and will have something to do over the long weekend besides drink and go see Jeff Dunham.

What kind of machine will you be putting the Cham II+ in ?

The psp will program the jackpot value and also a scrolling message if you wish
but it is much more involved setting up than a jackpot value,The reason I say scrolling message
is that from what you type it seems you don't even have a machine to set up the progressive yet.
If that's the case you could have the display scroll whatever you want it to say like.
                                 (Welcome To Kibble's Casino)

On the  Cham II+ board itself you will see 1 switch and 2 buttons
these are what control the colors and size of the display (and other options)if you want only
1 color you would set this up in the MFILE section.
MFILE 1=RED   2=GREEN  3=YELLOW and MFILE4 which is my favorite is Dazzle
which means all colors going at once.I would suggest reading the manual over a few times
and also reading the progressive thread as playing with the psp and Mikohn is a real hair puller,
Once learned you will have a lot of fun playing with it.

You will also need the correct cable that goes from the Cham II+  board
to whatever machine you will be using, let us know what  that might be
and we will take it from there.

Here is a picture of the board
note the S2 switch and SW3 + SW4 in the upper right corner.
