Fruit machine my tail feathers !!

« on: August 20, 2010, 12:39:54 AM »

I am looking at a glass kit for my Vision. The seller asked me what my Version chip was. I am new to this and don't know what to look for.

I pulled the board this afternoon and took a few pictures of it. Can you take a quick look and tell me, please ?

Since your version chip isn't labeled correctly you'll never know. I think you can find the version in the self test menus but it's not jumping out in my head right now

For any Vision the best software combination is:

(Game Chips) SG000380 GM1 and GM2
(Version Chip)  VS011GX1

You also need to update your top box flash card so that it is using ATA10065.  In some cases you need to run the RFA25 fix to update the top box OS.

That chip combination does not work with all the games (mostly the older games).  I posted a list some time ago of which chips support which games.  Not sure where that thread is though.

Brianzz Thanks for your sharp eyes. My eyes are not what they used to be, or maybe my arms are just getting shorter.

Bettor, Thank you for the chip numbers and the suggestions. I am sure it will help the seller get me what I need.

IDesign, Thanks for you thoughts, I should have done a search first, I'll give it a try and see if I can find your previous post.

I can not thank you all enough for your help and your patience.

The info is correct from Idesign of course in that some of the older games will not work with the set of chips I listed.  But the games that I know you are interested in...the information is good.

Thanks, Bettor. I'll forward that information on to the seller.

BrianZZ, I took your advice and brought up the menu and found a subdirectory marked version. The attached is what it shows. Thanks for the tip.

Here is a link to the games that work with SG00380

http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=6624.msg58753#msg58753

If it's not on the list use SG00248 instead.
