Hey gang,

I just got my Goldfish (WMS) topper in the mail. Got it from eBay.
It didn't ship perfectly. The service light ontop came apart.
I also hear a couple loose pieces inside, plus the glass shifted.

Instead of mailing it back and all, I'd rather find someone in the area
I can bring it to.

Please let me know. I've waited so long to find this puppy!

Thanks
Joey

Attaching photos of the light and one of where the glass is off the frame.
I didn't open the top section to see the parts loose inside. Don't want to make it worse.

eh just take it apart.. what's rattling around inside is the bolt that goes on the long screw that holds the candle on top of the topper. Very easy fix

Alright, alright. This is the first electrical thing I bought in the slot machine world. So wasn't sure how to get it apart.
I found where to unscrew the frame. The rattling inside was the 8" circular light bulb that smashed during shipment.
That's an easy fix. I can also figure out how to pop the plastic Goldfish display back in the frame.

The round metal cap on top of the service light is crakced where the screw goes in to hold it all down.
Is there a specific name the cap goes by? I want to find one to replace it.

Well, thanks for comforting me into doing it. Wasn't that bad  Smiley
So, does anyone have a cap? LOL  I'll go post in the trading post section.

Thanks gang.

That's a WMS topper.. nice find BTW.. what did it cost you?

I know the IGT candles are about all the same, parts are interchangeable not sure about WMS.. you can post a WTB candle for a WMS game and see if the top fits on it.

Thanks Brian. Yes, WMS is my favorite games. Been looking for this one for a long time. Picked it up on eBay for $104. bucks.
Well worth it. I don't have a machine YET, but I'm working on finding a Bluebird cabinet. I'm hoping the toppers are interchangeable between the WMS cabinets. If not, I'll make a lamp out of it, LOL. Goldfish is my #1 machine.

I found the Topper thread on the boards I posted there. So it's technically called a "candle"? Didn't know that. I always called it the service light   Smiley

Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.

Got everything all fixed and back together. Looks amazing. I'm so happy.
Now I just need to get a BlueBird cabinet to put it on top of.

Thanks gang.

BTW - does anyone know what type of bulbs are used that border the silver frame?
When I plugged it in, a few of the bulbs are out. Would love to get them fixed.
Thanks in advance.

Those are usually soldered-onboard LEDs.
Either the resistors going to the LEDs are burned out or the LEDs themselves -
most likely the LEDs.
The hard part is finding those and actually replacing them.
You need to get in touch with someone that knows how to do
board-level repairs because it involves tiny micro-soldering skills.
