When installing strips how do you know which strip goes on which reel?

My Ms. LGM strips have numbers 1500 - 1600 and 1700 on them. I know that the 1700 is reel #3, so logic tells me that 1500 is reel #1 and 1600 is reel #2.

Am I correct in this thinking?

Usually in order, but on some games they're not. Usually you look at the PAR (S+) or LSH (S2000) sheets and it'll give you the order, I don't have any LSH sheets at all but I'm sure someone does for your Ms. LGM game and will come along and let you know the correct order.

Dorothy,

If you post the Base chip number (SBxxxxxx) I can see if I have the information that Brian mentioned in my personal library. Are there any other numbers on the bottom of your reel strips??? Maybe a 4 digit number after an "F" (Fxxxx.) If I don't, someone else may have it for verification for you, or have the same game as you to verify from. If you have a picture of the strips to post, that may be nice for this thread in case someone with the same problem looks at this later.
