Use JP key

Tournament Option <0> [20]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option (game Type 14) is requested at the time the data chip is produced.  This option can be changed only if credits are not accumulated from a non-tournament game.  Enable {1} or disable {0} the tournament option.

Initial Credit <0> [21]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled.  Determines the initial number of credits given to a tournament player.  The maximum amount is 9999.

Autobet Selection <0> [23]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled.  Enable {1} or disable {0} the autobet option.  If the autobet option is enabled, the game automatically wagers the maximum allowable bet at the beginning of each game.

Autospin Selection <0> [24]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled.  Enable {1} or disable {0} the autospin option.  If the autospin option is enabled, the game automatically spins the reels when the maximum bet is reached.

Jackpot Lamp
Flash Time <0> [26]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled.  Options are:  flash 3 seconds after the top award is hit {0}, flash 15 seconds after the top award is hit {1}, flash while paying the top award {2}, or flash while paying any win {3}.

Time Display <0> [27]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled and the game play type is combined time limit and credit play.  Enables/disables the display of the tournament play time remaining.  Options are credits and time alternately displayed {0}, or only credits are displayed {1}.

Variable Credit Pay
Out Rate <0> [28]   This page is displayed only if the tournament option is enabled.  Determines the speed at which credits are awarded to the player.  The number of credits paid per second is shown in the Credits window.  The range is 0 to 200, in increments of 10.  If set to 0, the total win amount is paid at once rather than in increments.

Foster,
Thanks for the information, but I forgot to mention that I need this for a splus game where you use 9 - 13 options and I cannot get to the # 9 option.

Man that's an old SP game prom.  Do you have zero credits on the machine and option 9 only shows up if you have a tournament Reel prom installed.  Did you double check that?

Rick,
Their are no credits on the machine and I do have the correct reel prom and I have tried a newer type 14 game chip but it back to the beginning when you get past [8].

I know I am forgetting something.

[9]s are typically for the progressive amounts, unless you are in tournament mode. With the newer game chips you need a Set90 to set these values.

This may be a stupid question, but I know nothing of tournament chips.  Which chip does the tournament chip replace... the game or reel on a S+?  Can tournament chips be used on any them or are they theme specific?  Lastly, does anyone have any tournament chips for sale and if so, how much?  Thanks!!!

The SS chip is replaced.

Here is a link to the list of chips.

There are 2 chips for the S+ needed for tournament mode
SP chip like 1253, 1309, etc
a ST chip which has the regular SS chip data, as well as an a tournament mode data.
Basically 2 different sets of virtual reel strips.
The normal mode has the normal payback percentage and the tournament mode has a payback from say 500% to 2000%.

The SP chip has the extra program to operate the machine in tournament mode.
like time limits, credits, timers etc.

Yes, it answers my question... thanks.  I have an IGT S+ with a 2-coin double diamond theme.  What would be a good SP & ST Chip to have?

I think ST0012 would be one that fits your game.
It pays out a whopping 500.137%!!!  rotflmao
An equivalent SS chip is the SS3443.
Check your board and see if that's what you have.
I am not sure about the SP chip...I would go with Foster and get a SP1309.
Imagine if this tournament chip was in a Double Diamond Haywire game? knockout

SP1309 is for a 16Mhz board it came in the 16Mhz board I bought.

I think 1311 is the 10Mhz board version.

Also, do you have a SP chip that supports tournament mode?  Like a SP1253?

If you have a 10MHz board then the choices are SP1253 or SP1311. Trust me and get the SP1311. I have both. The SP1253 is very slow and uneven in paying out credits; the SP1311 is fast and smooth.

Is Sp1311 still the best way to go for Tournament mode 14? I have this chip but is there any better one for a 10Mhz board. Just want to make sure I  have the best one. Scratch Head
