need help upgrading my dollar bill acceptor/validater

So I bought my first slot machine. It’s a ISD Shockwave. Probably not the best to start with but I thought I got a good deal on it.

The question: how do I update/upgrade the bill acceptor because it will not read the current new bills? I’m not even sure how the wiring works since I have no documentation on this machine (If you know of where I can obtain one, please fill me in. I’ve already tried ISD ). I’ve completed 3 arcade projects so I think I’m capable with the right guidance.

The current DBA is:

If one is a available for the protocol your machine uses you should be able to get the EEPROM with the update on it.
In the WBA series the Software or the code you update is actually located in the transport

If you remove the transport and head from the chassis the rod and flat bar below the rod near your thumb in first picture.
the rod releases the head and the bar releases transport.
Turn the transport over and see if you have a chip in a socket or all are soldered in place.

The WBA-12 has a flash EEPROM upgradeable via a computer with software and hardware from JCM
The WBA-13 uses a replaceable IC so you can buy upgrade chip.

The thing is as long as the software in the transport is right for a particular use the heads and transports are interchangeable
You can get head that says WBA-12 on it and it will function in your machine. since the firmware on the transport determines what machine it can be used in.

Hopefully one of the vendors here can help you upgrade it if it is available.

I am the unlucky I have to send my transport to some one to upgrade mine.
one of the days I will do it.

thanks for the help.  I'll be taking apart my DBA soon.  Also I've just learned of the new $100 bill Sad  Maybe I should just wait.  Dang it!
