I only know S+, not S, sorry.   no

What is your machine doing or not doing?

...and is your area affected by the flooding?

The floods are about 15 miles form us.

I put an RS 3663 chip in and my machine went dead. I had to put the old 3411 back in.

No problem. Far be it from me to be an expert, but that's just what I have been able to pick up from people who seem know.

What is it about RS chips that make them so hard to find?

it a IGT -S MODEL -

ALSO  ---the age of machine -plus the transition from RS---TO-----SS CHIPS

let me look to see if I have what you need .. I have 500 ----RS chips still in ant static tubes that i never looked to see what they are .what numbers are you looking for again ??

also a problem  with age the info on chip itself -----so I am told can be corrupt even stored correctly .. thats a entire diff topic that may be bounced on ?? how long does a chip hold its memory in use or not ??

It's been suggested that I provide more information about my machine, so here goes.

It's a 1989 IGT S model 3 coin upright, with a WILD CHERRY game.

Scratch Head Scratch Head Scratch Head Scratch Head NOTICE IN 99% OF PICTURE POST IF YOU CLICK ON PICTURE IT WILL ENLARGE PICTURE FOR YOU !! Clap Clap Clap

OK thought would be helpfull and post some pictures of the FAMOUS IGT S-MODEL SLOT-MACHINE  waving flag waving flag waving flag waving flag
these machines were out before the >>FAMOUS<< BULLIT PROOF S+ DESIGN ..

they look the same as a regular early style S-PLUS machine from the outside --but the inside tells a different story ..
the belly pan on inside left has a 110 volt light bulb on floor of machine .

hard meters are on left side of machine --with the machines audio speaker incorporated into the hard meter housing inside .

the coin drop tray  that looks the same as a S+ machine in size length height etc  .

but instead of a lift out model as in S+ .

The  S-MODEL  has a metal tang dead center that needs to be pressed up
to release the coin drop tray out of its four corner slide in tips .

the MPU board is totaly diff than a S-PLUS MPU  -- the S-MODEL HAS 3- PLUGS THAT NEED TO BE MANUALLY REMOVED .

the software as mentioned recently is a single eprom with the "RS" DESIGNATION NOT SS .. THERE IS NO GAME CHIP AS IN SP CHIP
ONLY ONE RS CHIP . NOTICE ON RS CHIP MODELS THE GAME CHIP & REEL CHIP ARE PROGRAMMED INTO ONE CHIP

the S-MODEL DOES NOT SUPPORT RE-SPIN GAMES ..

THEY ARE A NICE UNIT OVERALL -NO DBV --I PERSONALLY LIKE COIN DROP MACHINES - BUT THEY HAVE THE SQUARE METAL SHIELD
WHERE THE COINS DROP FROM HOPPER INTO COIN
TRAY --YOU CAN SEE THIS ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING DEAD ON

THAT MAKE THE COINS RING OUT LOUDER WHEN COIN PAYS ARE MADE ..

HERE ARE SOME GREAT PICTURES OF A UNIT I PICKED UP THIS PAST SATURDAY THAT WAS PURCHASED IN 1989 ONE OWNER ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD FROM IGT . >>YES CONNECTIONS<<< BACK THEN

NEVER HIT THE CASINO .. ALONG WITH 100+ MACHINES IN COLLECTION OF S-MODEL AND S+ MODELS ..
FOR A 21 YEAR OLD MACHINE ITS PRSITINE -INSDE AND OUT .
enjoy the pictures about 8 of them . IF ANYBDY NEEDS A CERTAIN PICTURE ASK I WILL POST GLADLY ..

rocket

MODIFIED OCT 7-2010 ---WITH ONE BOTTOM PICTURE -DEMONSTRATING THE FULL MACHINE INCORECT TOP GLASS &

THE SQUARE
SHIELD IN CENTER OF COIN TRAY THAT THE COINS ON PAYOUT HIT --THAT MAKE IT RING LOUDER ON COIN DROP PAYS .
