For the time being, it's mostly old classified ads, although there might be a few other threads buried in there.

We've been discussing some changes. We'll let everyone know if and when they happen.

Second from the left is a Japanese pachislo, and the one on the right is an Aristocrat/Jubilee.The Lucky Strike is probably a rebuild, most likely of a model 818 Sir Prize - the door hinges indicate it's an all-wood 1960s model. The Jumbo on the left is original and interesting - it's a 1972 model 999. Touch of nostalgia there, as "Jumbo" was a Bally flasher (no reels) replay only machine that appeared in about 1960. The mechs will be standard, any Bally EM manual will cover them. The wiring, you're on your own, especially for the Lucky Strike. The model number should be stamped on the reel switch cards.

I know what it is - it's a Bally Wulff. As for fixing it, I have to ask you is it electromechanical, or electronic? I'm guessing electronic from the 30pf play, in which case if it goes wrong you're in the similar deep shit situation to everyone else who owns a 70s/80s machine with a chip in it and no documentation. The Germans have a law that these machines get a 3 year license once that can never be renewed, so 3 years is the maximum service life. Consequently they're not very well made, and they don't have service manuals because it's cheaper to replace them.

(I just read your post properly and noticed nobody asked about fixing it. Stat, if you want one, I can point you at someone with a couple for sale.)

I'm more interested in how the bets and payoffs work are structured. It's hard to tell from the picture. Scratch Head
I've seen a few pictures of these German machines in the past on NLG.

hello,i sending pics of what the rotamint  looks like ,when you put in quarters or dimes ,it builds credits the first wheel spins and second and third you can stop them at any time /or you can let it play thru, you need to line 3 of the numbers or simbles/it hangs on the wall and you can load it a just walk away, that part is not so fun ,but when your wife has a cold beer at the bar it makes it realy easy to leve it .haha  when you want to take yours coins out there is a button on the side that drains your credits  into cash/this machine is very cool/i guess its a bit electro-mech/thanks for the interest

A belated thanks for posting those pictures and K+. applause

The payout drum on the top of the machine is interesting. It looks like the pay fingers on the three wheels trip electrical switches, though, so how does that drum fit into the picture? Scratch Head 2

Why do each of the letters in "gold record" light up? Are they part of some payout? What about the bottom center portion? If the mechanical counters indicate credits, what are those lights below them for?  Why do they have a reference to getting three 7s or two 7s with that weird center symbol that also appears in the payouts on the left, but doesn't seem to be on the reels (or is it just hidden in the pictures)?

It's a complicated sucker! The drum is an elaborate cam timer, that controls all the functions of the game as it makes one revolution. The microswitches that it operates are just out of sight at the top. It has a mechanical linkage, light-green center, that lowers the payout fingers at the appropriate point in the cycle, and the switches switch in the appropriate cam switch to deliver the right number of pulses to the credit counter. I think there are a couple of secondary game features, the GOLD RECORD and the other lights, and the strange symbol is a Joker. Mike better explain how they work as I have no idea.

This is a rotamint exquisit jewel from 1976. It’s not not made by wulff or bally-wulff . NSM (now Löwen-Entertainment) made it.NSM stands for the beginning letter of the names of the founders (Nack, Schulze und Menke). It’s electromecanical, the pcb is only for the light. The first one with the high bit of 0,30DM.
Each game is 0,30 DM (15 seconds) and the payout for every game is not more than 3,00 DM.
What made it attractive is that you can get a lot of special games.
During this series of special games it’s easy to get the maximum payout of 3,00 DM.
Each win then is increased to 3 DM, also you get 3DM if only the reel in the middle shows a golden field.
To get different numbers of these special games you have to light up the words „gold“ or „record“ by getting the win combinations next to the letter. (10 for gold, 20 for record) - is the last letter to complete the word is „D“ you’ll get 30 or 50 of these special games.
During the last 9 games (light up in the bottom) you have the chance easy getting more of these games.
Machines like these are no Casino machines – you see them in all pubs, bars, saloons or locals.

I have a couple of German wall machines, but much older - a Novomat, and a Bingolett. These are both Wulff machines. I found a pic of an older Rotamint, which identifies it as an NSM machine.

mctuerk, K+ and thanks for shedding more light on those special features.

It certainly is an unusual EM machine with that arrangement of bonus features and a differing number of bonus spins. U.S. Bally EMs with bonus spins (like Mustang) only had a set number of spins, and I don't think they ever combined a bonus where you had to match certain symbols or letters (like the Mills Bonus) with bonus spins. Of course, I'm not as familiar with the older U.S. mechs and EMs as Op-Bell, and I might have missed something.
