What's the denomination of your machine and how many credits do you get per coin dropped?
Why?
Because if you set your denomination for a penny and you're dropping $20 bills into the bill acceptor...
the coin-in meter will be ticking for the rest of your life.  bust gut laughing

You better clear the machine and make sure your settings are right.

There is a way to do this on most IGT machines, I just can't find my post to reference for you! Duh!

Basically all you have to do is disconnect the meter plug and put a small wire jumper wire in the last two pins, 9 & 10 I think.... black/orange & brown/grey I seem to remember. I can verify later. Just jumper and cover with electrical tape and enjoy the silence!

That was the point of my satirical response!  frying pan arrow  Not only do they have an official "fix" for the problem, they seem to have gone as far as to assign a part number to a piece of wire. Weird Eyes

I put one of these in mine...works great! >>>

http://cgi.ebay.com/LCD-Coin-Meter-Dual-7-Digits-Counter-Arcade-Slot-Mech_W0QQitemZ190503758738QQcategoryZ13718QQcmdZViewItem

It's an LCD resettable digital counter that can handle
the coin-in and the coin-out meter signals no problem.
With "A" handling the Coin-In signals and "B" being the Coin-Out counter.

Look for the "resettable" version...costs about $1 more...lol
All it is a a button with some metal molded into a piece of rubber
which opens the power circuit to zero out the meters.
You can zero out the meter every time you play!

Simple to hook up, 4 wires.
1 Power 4.5 to 13Vdc
2 GND
3 Coin-in Vb
4 Coin-out Vb
