I wanted to throw this question out to you guys:

I'm thinking about trading in some machines for a blue bird.  I really love the titles for that thing - I could rattle off 15 games that BOTH my wife and I enjoy.

Here's the thing - there a lot of money and I'm nervous about getting parts for it.    How hard are the parts to come by?       All of my other platforms I've been able to get a
power supply or whatever from many people.  Jim at blue ridge has always been able to come through and many others as well.

I'm torn  -  I think that they will hold their value for a long time like the 550 and parts may be hard if not impossible to get.

There are a LOT of BBU's in service worldwide. I doubt they will go away any time soon. I have had no problems finding any parts for mine, not that it has crapped out at all, but adding the top box display, more memory and glass kits was EASY.
The more you get to know the CPU/NXT BBU series..the more you WILL like them.....
Thats just my 2¢ worth........

Is that the one you found at the pawn shop?

Yes, started out as a single monitor, added the topbox recently. It has a hopper in it and accepts 5¢ coins.......weird huh?
It was a "Kaboom" when I bought it, changed the glass to Super Jackpot Party for a while, now has the "You Bet Your Life" topglass in it (for the monitor).
Been trying differant dualscreen games in it this weekend..a LOT of fun!
