where can i get a cmos ram e prom i got a5 coin wild cherry machine .25$ and it does not have a cmos and willl i need a clear and a set e prom American Flag American Flag

There is a CMOS RAM chip and a serial EEPROM in a S+
The CMOS RAM chip is next to the SP or GAME Chip on the MPU
The EEPROM is a 24C04 that is located on the motherboard or backplane board.

Are you getting an error or what?

The CMOS chip is a 6264  (mine are 100ns on the 10MHz boards)  I believe they are 8K x 8, but I'm not certain. I've never really looked at that chip before.

The information on Mouser states that they are static ram, not dynamic.

The other parts of the questions were answered by others, but the last part.  You will probably not need a ram clear as the system automatically initializes cmos whenever there's no information on the cmos.  You will need a set eprom if you want to enable a Bill Validator.

That is correct, that is the CMOS SRAM chip.  However, instead of just looking for that part, I'd suggest you get a whole MPU board to have around while you can still get them relatively easily.  I'm sure one of the vendors that frequent this site can set you up with one.

Yes, as long as it is from and S-Plus . There 10 and 16Mhz boards but most likley you have the 10. It has the volume control and the 16 does not. The game and reel chips are game specific not the MPU board.

Actually, I believe that the game chips (SP) are MPU specific, but don't quote me.

Yes Game (SP) chips are specific for a particular board mainly due to how reels are interfaced to and controlled by the MPU
