I have a Bally Alpha M9000 Slot Machine. The operating System chip reads AVOS00000317-02. The chip appears to have gone bad. I was going to buy another game for the machine. The operating chip with the new game reads AVOS00000316-02. Dose any body know if this new chip will work with my original game chip or do I need to get another AVOS00000317-02 OS Chip?

Kinda dispairate to get this monitor up and running and I pretty much threw everything and the kitchen sink at it with no results........Got it chirping with a blown cap C423 and toasted HOT....... replaced and or tested the following so far with no change ...its still dead and chirping ... no B+ at D106..... it just starts to come up as its resetting but not enough to read or long enough to make a difference ... Anyway changed or tested components so far are

C423 replaced
Q402 HOT replaced
R102 replaced (was open)
Bridge rect removed and tested OK
FBT replaced got new unit from chad at Arcadecup.com
All diodes in the power sup section removed and tested OK
EVERY single cap on the chassis except for the filter cap replaced
Tried with and without DG coil hooked up

I am at a total loss... If someone can help me I would REALLY appreciate it.......... Usually I end up stumbling on the issues and resolving these monitor issues but this one is kickiing my A$$........

I have a chance to purchase a Stars and Stripes narrow cabinet machine
from a dealer, the machine is parts complete however nothing lights
up...

The owner says: "plugged it back in today, Nothing, no lights or
anything.  Pretty sure the power supply if the issue.  When I got it I
need bypass (remove) the noise filter.  It was burnt bad."


Now I know Universal parts are getting scarce but anyone have a narrow body PS unit for a Universal or someone who could
rebuild/recap a supply? I would like to save this machine from being
parted out.

The Bally game had a two piece harness.
this is the harness that connects to the game and terminates in a 4 pin square connector that you can connect either the Mikohn harness or Paltronics harness to.
It connects to the EVO, S5500 and S6000
It is the same harness pictured earlier in this thread.
