Hello Everyone!

New to the forum here and I am not a tech but fairly handy with computers and such.

My father in-law recently passed away and he was a car dealer and we recently found out that he had recieved a Bally "Diamond Line Frenzy" slot machine on a trade in we think at his lot.

So long story short I'm trying to help my Mother in-law get this game going so I will be reading here and learning how to get it running. She has used a local business to get it working but the guy has been here 4 times trying to clear the game and get it going and has not accomplished anything yet but he has charged her for each trip and for the clear chip so she has already forked out over $400 dollars for nothing!

The Model number on the machine is S62B3WBP0 and it is a Diamond Line Frenzy

So any advise will be greatly appreciated. I have just started to look at this and don't even know what codes it may be throwing but I will be looking into it right away.

Which section should I be posting questions in to make sure I am in the right place, it looks like from what I can tell to go under - Reel Slots- Bally Reel Games. Is this correct?

Also I went to the Bally site to get a Manual for this game but found out that I didn't have access to download a manual.  Is is possible to get a digital copy somewhere for this game?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Clutch

If your email will take big file there is a manual coming. It's takes some time to download. It should be coming
in about 15 min.

Thanks Ford got the email but it came over in plain text not as a pdf.

I am getting a "5500" code on the front of the machine when I turn it on.

When I turn the machine on the wheels all spin one turn and then the 5500 code comes up.........

What now?

Thanks,

Topic Moved to Bally Reel Games.

Glad that it was such an easy fix. I would call the owner or manager of that "repair" company. If they do not provide some relief, I would contact the Better Business Bureau and also go to on-line sites that review businesses. They deserve $400 worth of negative advertising if they do not do a partial refund! I am sickened when I hear of companies fleecing people in such dire times, or at least being totally incompetent!

Thanks CH.

ClutchKargo, now that you have it working you will not want to give it to your mother-in-law. You'll be getting one for yourself.
What you did is all it takes to get the fever.

Thanks Everyone!!

Great Site! and a Special Thanks again to Ford!!!

We have been having a ball playing with this Slot Machine all afternoon and evening. It is in like new condition and I think my Father In Law got it for next to nothing.

My Mother In Law will be calling tomorrow to get resolution on this situation, I'll let you all know what happens.  Yeah I was pretty mad when it only took me minutes to fix after Ford's help.

Take care all.

Hey one more quick question on the bill box. I tried to pull it out now and it doesn't seem to want to come out now easily is there a release I have to press or is it just a good hard pull to get it out?

I've pulled fairly hard but it didn't seem to budge so I thought I'd ask to see if there was a release I need to press somewhere.

Thanks

On the inside on right side there is a lever to release it.

<ADD> Maybe I'm confused. Isn't this a Bally Proslot?  Scratch Head If I'm wrong, please disregard the post below.

The instructions below are for a Proslot with the cash box accessed from a drop door located on the right side of the machine.

Get a throw away credit card and keep it near the machine. There are recessed release latches on both sides of the box. Put the CC in one side and pull the box out slightly, then put the CC in the other side without letting the first side re-lock. Then pull the box out.

It's not as hard as it sounds after you've tried it a couple of times.

Other solutions:

1. There is an "official" extractor you can buy. Personally, I think it's much more trouble than it's worth.

2. You can rewire the switch underneath the cash box to trick the machine into thinking that it's in place and then just toss the box in the closet. The bills will drop into the open hole and you can just open the outer door and remove them.

Note: Some members will tell you to cut and solder the wires together, but why cut and splice when it's not necessary?
The switch has 3 contacts: NO (normally open), NC (normally closed), common.
Just move the tab from the NO contact to the NC contact.

What you describe here is the way to remove a Sigma SG50. I don't have a Bally that comes out that way.
All my Ballys work like IGT. There is lever on cash box you push

Bally S5500s have a drop door on the side and a simple open spring-loaded cash can that must be removed as I described (like a Wms Dot). Perhaps the S6000 uses an IGT style box, which was why I wasn't sure. I don't own one and didn't pay close attention to that detail when I saw them at Buzz's or Joey's.
