I have a Triple Stars S2000 that has stopped working and displays "call attendant". I opened the door, alarm went off. I turned reset key and display then read "eeprom error". I am new to this slot machine thing so any help would greatly be appreciated. I have owned it for about 6 months and after changing to the correct chip (also with help from this site), has worked great until now. Thanks in advance, Ed.

With the door open keep turning reset key till it asks you to hold reset button on the mpu for 3 seconds then and do that then close the door. If it recurs and persists you may have battery or connection issues

Thanks, Cowboy. I tried that and yes, it does repeat "call attendant". About the battery issue, I have made sure and left the machine on at all times so as to not let the battery run down. I did turn the game off and re-seat the main board but with same results. Any other ideas?

Was the game working and started dping this or is it a new game that's been doing it since you got it?

It has been working fine since I received it (about 6 months ago), until earlier today when it developed this problem.

Ok, it's seems your familiar at least with removing the mpu board which may need to be done. When you get the error and open the door and turn the rest key a few times, what does it do then?

It turns off the alarm, reads eeprom error, then reads wait, checking memory, then goes back to call attendant.

Do you then turn the reset key again? Keeping in mind the door should remain open through this process

Ok, this is what it reads each time I turn the key: 1)eeprom senet control failure -0XC102   2)some critical data may be lost   3)close the main door    4)please wait - testing memor,    then,   call attendant.  Any ideas? Thanks again, for your time, Ed.

And if you open the door and turn the reset key again it does the same exact thing all over?

If so, the first thing I would try would be to turn the machine off, remove the MPU board and check your SB, SG, Version and Ram chips to make sure they are seated tightly by giving each one a good press with your thumb. Also look at them to make sure all the legs of the chips went completely into the sockets and there are no bent legs. After that, replace the MPU in the machine and turn it on. You may have to go through the reset process again, but only once if it works
