I've been pulling my hair out. After days of working on my S2000 Tabasco 3CM progressive CHAM2+, I made some head way.

1. Key Chip setting set
2. Mikohn Settings set
3. After hours finally got the Mikohn programmed via serial port
4. Made wiring harness to hook to machine

I got the display to say 12,000.

But my machine still says no link to progressive.

One time when my machine booted up it incremented my progressive by one cent. And then it gave a C51 when I unplugged the cable going from the progressive board to the machine. I never got it to do it again.

The only thing I haven't done is change the battery, but I don't think that would cause a no link?

I'm all out of ideas, I think I have read every thread in this section.

Any ideas??

No Link to progressive could be many things

Make sure psp setting is  F3=SNGL F4=M08 & F8=MS08 for Igt

ChamII+ board not being set to SA

Could also be wrong setting in key chip menu
7.3.2 select: None

Could also be the cable you made ?

Please post all the settings you made inside psp and the key chip menu

Sorry off to work for the day good luck

You might want to check out Ron's r273 notes
that are attached.

Make sure psp setting is  F3=SNGL F4=M08 & F8=MS08 for Igt   Already Did this

ChamII+ board not being set to SA       Its set to SA

Could also be wrong setting in key chip menu  7.3.2 select: None        Should it be NONE? I have it on linked, i thought that is what it suppose to be, or is 7.3.2 about the video display? because i have that set to none.

Could also be the cable you made ?      I made two new cables, same result

Please post all the settings you made inside psp and the key chip menu

Sorry off to work for the day good luck

You might want to check out Ron's r273 notes         i followed rons notes to a tee. Word for Word
that are attached.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the notes, any other ideas??

Could there be something wrong with my machine? There are no dip switches to flip or anything right?

When i get home ill have to post all my settings.

Thanks

Are you talking about on the display? or in PSP? I think the display can be set to SA or a number.

Too far to come & stand under your window to catch machine if you throw it out.
I think if you do the settings we said it should work.  GOOD LUCK tonight.

Tom,

Keychip menu
7.3.1.1 make sure it is set to and shows
Level 1 Link Level 1

7.3.2 None

On the S2000 mpu you are using SG363 for GME1&2 correct

The cable you made goes from ChamII+ J7 to S2000 mother board J15
with the following pins wired.

 J7                  J15
pin 13------------pin 2
pin 11------------pin 1
pin 3-------------pin 3

Double check that cable and make sure the key chip settings are correct
If it doesn't work post back all your psp and key chip settings for us.

OK my psp settings are exactly like  r273 CHAMII+ PSP Settings.zip....

However one issue...

ODOMETER CONTROL                     Page 5

MULTIPLE CONTROLLER SET UP      Page 6

When i set all the settings and hit send button: it says Default Error, check controller # 1.

If i hit load on page 5 and 6 it load the data from the controller properly... however i cant send

However every other page it send finds...

Maybe this is the issue? But why would i get those error on just those pages?

Have you tried rebooting both (machine and program) and immediately sent page 6 then 5?

You must have page 6 sent and excepted before it will work.

Try the immediate send idea.. still will not take those settings. Is there something corrupt in the controller? Is there a way to wipe it clean? i tried setting the display to birth yes to clear everything, but that must not really clear all settings...

Tom,
I just did this myself for the very first time.
I now have a working progressive in one of my S2000

I would not have been able to do this without Ron's cheat sheet. Thanks Ron...  applause applause applause
Even with that, I did have some difficulties navigating through the menus. But it did eventually click in my mind. That cheat sheet is a great tool. If you want me to try to help you over the phone send me a PM with a number to contact you at. I'll try to help where I can, but no promises as I'm just learning this myself.
