Appreciate the offer. There gotta be something wrong with my progressive controller though...

I wired another new wire(CHAMMII + to the machine). Checked and double checked the wires with a multimeter to make sure they were the right wire.

When im programming i have a jumper wire between pins 1 and 5.. i actually just changed it to a 1K resistor as someone had mentioned that in another thread, no change.

Im using a straight through cable. i was using a usb to serial convertor and now i had an old XP box laying around with a physical serial port. I tried that and no change again.

I am able to send data on page 1, part of page 2, and the time page. Everything else i get the "Default error, Check controller #1" I can load all the data from the controller on every page.. but when i send it get that error(except page 1, part of page 2, and the time page).

Very much like bkoch http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=5149.msg44291#msg44291

But i cant even load the demo.

If i reboot the controller and the PSP software and try to send for example page 6 immediately. It doesn't give an error. but when i hit load. I know the settings didnt take because it all return to 0.

Tom,

Sorry was away for the weekend
If you want to clear the chamII+ you can do so by holding down
the 2 padded buttons while the board is powered up then unplug and plug back in.
This will set it back to default.

I don't know why you are sending page 5,6 ?
nor messing with the demo.

Something is screwy here I mean hooking up a chamII+
to an S2000 is pretty straight forward.

Maybe try downloading a fresh copy of psp
and loading just the jackpot programming page 1 with the basic
settings you need.

No problem!. I wouldn't think page 5 or 6 would matter either because it has to do with Multiple controllers or something and scroll time or something it looks like, but i was told from 2 people that it matters?

I will try to reset to see what happens with it.

Thanks
