One of the two top speakers are not working. When I switched the plug it changed sides. The bottom speaker is working. Will this be a sound board problem? I have used an ohm meter and there are no shorts between the board harness and the speaker plugs. Jim

Are you using a multimedia lite sound board and a Sound SIMM?  If not, mono sound is normal and you'll be missing sound out of one speaker.

Thanks Jason. It seemed strange that they would put two speakers and only power one. I think I will tap into the other so at least it is doing something.

If you get the MML board and a SIMM that speaker will come to life.  Assuming those parts aren't already installed on your MPU of course.

Easy enough to do , take a sewing needle and shove it through the center of the two white wires and cut off both ends of the needle ( be carefull the needle is hardened steel and when cut pats will go flying )  Tape the needle so it can't short out.  No butchered wires this way and when your tired of playing around with the sounds, just pull the needle out.
