Yup! There's a much better live New Years show he jams in 1978.., but I'll take the newer, mainstream for tonight. I can barely hear due to those speakers though.. Minor ear drum damage maybe? Ha

Can't wait for the SIMMS!

sad to say i have hit a road block in this. tho i can say it is possible it is not practical. i can find no signs of distinguishing marks in between the tracks, and each simm i have done so far has different sample rates. it would take hours to hand disassemble each simm add on top of that the time it would take the sound tech i work with to match the new files with the old sounds the process would end up being too expensive.

If you took a generic DVS 42 sound Simms and randomly took out a section of data and then played back in the sound test it would tell you were in the Simms you were  . Just thinking out loud  . P.B.

i mainly do r&d and i had no clue a test menu for the simm existed. does it tell you the memory addresses in the simm that sound is stored? if so that would greatly simplify the process.

If you go to 4.4.2 'MMLB sound test', it'll show a number next to each sound as you scroll through them. Not sure if that amounts to anything on placement of the sounds..., But worth a look see.

the numbers i would need are the addresses the sound sits on the chip the number is 8 digits long and is a combination of letters and numbers, but i will look into it.

I think that's what the numbers are then. I can look in a bit. - Or fire up your machine and check it out.

Hope it is correct! And hope you can make this work!!! I want Michael Bolton's voice on all my machines.

You know what would be cool as hell?  If it was possible to dump the sounds from Bally, etc games and put those sounds onto a custom S2000 DSV...ohhhhh, I would be all over that!
