In the test switch options...did you set your machine for your preferred coin denomination?

Hey coxwho1,
This machine...the Black Tie game....is it an S+ or is it a S2000?
Can you see what kind of DBV is in it? Scratch Head 2
If you post the numbers that are on it and maybe a pic or two...

If it has a dbv200 or dbv145, the transport has to be inserted fully.  Sometimes the back small tabs don't go into the notches.  It would make sound though if this was the issue.  Do you hear the BV cycle upon start up?

Thanks,
Wayne

Also are the speaker "ears" along with the small blue screen (Dotmation display) on the bottom left of the reel glass, that is the S-2000.

They don't all have speaker ears. I think the dot display may be optional as well. But I believe the bill acceptor bezel is always convex curved on the S2000, and flat on the S+.

How many credits are on the machine? You have a bill validator credit limit and once you go over your limit the bv will turn off until you come back down below your credit limit. Also on the older style bill validators that you have- DBV 145 and DBV 200- your power supply may be weak. With a weak supply, it will cycle and light up, but not take any bills. April
