Nice one,
Wow, you've obviously seen me drive before.  My wife told me yesterday to stop "fishtailing" when I take off from a light (the roads were wet).

Thanks,

You know, I've driven a couple of cars that could carry the front wheels a few hundred feet, back in the day before they closed Fremont/Baylands, but I don't think I'd ever want to try it in a school bus.  Weird Eyes

A+ for effort to that driver! applause

And Wayne, don't feel bad. My daughter gave me a ration for turning off the ASC on the BMW when we pulled out of the car wash yesterday...  frying pan frying pan

I'm not sure if we had it on the old site, but it was a very popular video on the net and was spread by word of email a few years ago.

Capacitor explosion from excessive voltage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WheLp0RdLQ

Capacitors can be deadly!  Duh! Duh! Duh!

I had a prototype board that we got back from the assembly house many years ago that we were going to power on and test for the first time.

This was some time ago, and we were using newer surface mount capacitors in our advanced design Single Board Computer. This board had D case surface mount tantalum capcitors that are polarized. D case was the size which is about 8mm x 6mm x 5mm just guessing. When we powered on the board I was looking fairly close at it when all of the sudden there was an explosion complete with flames, smoke, and a projectile!!! I moved suddenly and then after we all calmed down I realized that there was a hole in the wall where the capacitor shot into the drywall. We looked at the tracectory, and realized that it missed my face by a couple inches!  Help It was like a 22 hole. We all laughed it off, and then got pissed at the assembly house when we figured out they put the capacitor on backwards!!!  frying pan + to - and - to +

See.......... Computers can be just as dangerous as putting a pencil in the microwave!!!  frying pan frying pan frying pan

Whatever you do, do not open up a D cell battery and remove the carbon rod from it to perform any of the pencil lead experiments. You can imagine how I know this.  Cactus
