Just wanted to pop in and say HI to everyone! Just picked up my first slot today, a "Haywire" cabinet. I am a complete noob at slot machines so I am going to be scouring these forums trying to learn the terminology! XD I'm used to restoring arcade cabinets so this is going to be completely new to me but, I'm extremely excited! Good to be here.

Hello, found the site after looking for information on a video poker bartop model ive had for quite a few years but have never deployed it in my game room. The info on the unit is.
Make igt, model 3070C. Descr poker , date mfd 8/86.  Its a bartop model
It came out of a bar in downtown reno, the bet one credit is a bit sticky, it works well, pay outs etc , coin ins. 
I was looking at the switches for the mentioned sticky button and i think a good cleaning will take are of it but i moticed one hold button had the light missing, its a plastic housing that pops out of the switch housing.
So im wondering where i can order small parts.  As well as get a schematics on this?
This is my only gaming machine, i have a couple pinballs i maintain in my game room, so i can read schematics and trouble shoot.

The bulb says either 38 or BE... small with single wires on each side

The switches work, so maybe i can just clean, but wanted to see what parts are avail... and manual

My poker deck buttons use GE86 lamps.
"GE" standing for General Electric.
They're readily available at any good online bulb website where you can buy them in a packs of 10.
I get mine at bulbdirect.com for about .61 cents apiece...buy a full pack or two...>>>

Hi, i pulled two bulbs, one i cant really read, the next had a "6" i believe, even with a magnifier its had to read it.  I did take out the switch and the microswitch seems locked in the plastic of the switch, i cant really see how to seperate the switch, i believe i can carefully clean the plastic and stay out of the switch, is silicone spray ok on the plastic pieces that slide?

Also are manuals hard to come by?  I can just play it and if or when somethng goes wrong i can try to figure it out i guess, would be nice to have a operational manual and schematic to begin to understand how it works.

You need to turn the lamp socket about 90 degrees I think on your switch unit
and wiggle it out of the switch body.
Then you can pull out the lamp.

The microswitch has 3 holes in which 3 plastic nibs go into it to hold the microswitch in place.
You can carefully stick a small very flat screwdriver under one of the nib tangs
and work it off of the microswitch body.
Once you have one off, the other two are easy to pry away/separate from the microswitch body -
to allow it to slip out of the tangs.

Hello fellow slot enthusiasts! I have been reading this forum off and on for a couple of weeks now, as I just bought my first machine recently. IGT GameKing. It's older, but I love it so far. I have to say this forum is by far the best internet resource I have found on the topic of gaming machines! Many thanks to the creators, admins, moderators, etc. Also, thanks to all of you who take the time to post answers to noob's questions. After all, if no questions were being answered, this forum wouldn't thrive.
As for me, I am in the middle of getting my associates degree in electronic technology. That being said, I am still pretty green when it comes to electronics. However, I will do what I can to offer up any advice or opinions that I feel qualified to answer. Any west coaster's out there feel free to e-mail me or message me on this forum. Would be nice to know someone nearby that could swap ideas/information with!

Hello world!
I bought Pachislo a few weeks ago.
It  is shiny and flashy and loud and fun and the wife and grandkids love it.
But the Pachislo works and doesn't need love or help.

So I bought a Summit in need of repair.
Needs love and help.

I found this site after researching the Summit.
I'm new to the world of slots, but not new to restoration.
So far so good, I got the Summit to about 99%.

I may have to get more machines.
