I have a Cherry Master and do not understand how it plays. Am I betting against a high low or a particular card ? My game is in an arcade type cabinet and sometimes the monitor is all lines, but when it warms up it gets better.

Look on the PCB for a name Frank...
The "tearing" of the picture is typical of a old analog monitor. As it warms up the Horizontal frequency drifts.
It can be fixed pretty easy, just takes time.

there are a TON of them out there.
I have a few...."Magic Bomb" Olympic-5 and a few others.

FrankA,
I hope this helps.
A PCB looks like this...sometimes...
It's gonna have a lotta wires going to it.
On it somewhere are some chips that may have the name, type and revision (Rev.) number of your board.
Or there may be some writing computer etched onto the board itself.

It depends on the game, some games its high - low (cherry master, cherry bonus III and lucky 8 lines) and other games you bet against a particular card (new cherry 96, fruit bonus and royal poker 96). Also if the monitor flyback is set too bright, you will see lines on the screen turn down the brightness on the flyback (not chassis) and the lines should go away.

Thanks. It looks just like a CPU board.

PCB = Printed Circuit Board
CPU = Central Processing Unit

All CPU boards are PCBs, not all PCBs are CPU boards.

Just to confuse matters, PCB also stands for Polychlorinated-Bi-Phenol, a notorious industrial pollutant. Confused me for a while when I read in the paper that some park was closed because PCBs were found there.

I have a question for ya Randy.
Where can I get a nice VGA type of game?
I'd like to put one together.
Are the cherry master games VGA or CGA?

I guess you know the difference between the two is the graphics. There is only a few 8 liner games that are true VGA( which you would need a VGA monitor to use it). Some of my boards have both so I can use either one. The only way I would build a VGA is if the game I had to have was ONLY VGA. If you search Ebay or google ( use " 8 liner" you will find all kinds.

Yes,
I like the vga graphics better.
Thanks for the link.
Seems like the older CGA is the cheaper way to go.

Well it happened. I have been telling and hearing not to leave those machines in the dark , cause they can multiply!
I woke up this morning and checked my machines and low and behold there was this funny looking machine, not one
of my ordinary IGT machines I have. I don't know what it is. My S+ and RW&B Bonus spin must have got together and
this is what happened. It says it is a "Poker Master" but the screen says "Cherry Bonus III".

Does this happen with S+ and vision machines spend the night to many times? Will this happen again if left to many
more times? The Doc's fee was $275 with free delivery. Is this to much to pay for a non- IGT? There are no manuals with
this "Thing". I don't know what to do with it. bust gut laughing

It is what the glass says - Poker Master, which is a poker game and cherry master game on one board. One of the favorites. Congrats !

Congrats on the newborn  Tongue Out

You need to drop them cherry and bell bonus down some Smiley. The manual that asgard gave you the link to ... if does not match your board(which I doubt, cause you have the bonus at the top) .

A few things to remember about "8 LINER" boards... The toggel switch on the board clears all past game play stats, but ONLY PUSH IT WITH THE MACHINE OFF!!!. The DIP switches you can play with and see what they do ,EX; change how much a 1$ is worth on credits, the odds, set the bonus, set the bell bonus,etc.... write down how they are and if the manual does not fit that board, just "play with them" Change them while the machine is off ,then power it up and take notes. You have one of the first Dyna games' with a 13" monitor with the lock in the center of the cabinet. This board came out right after the "draw 40 " craze. So most people were just changing a EPROM on the board to make a new game. Send me a message if you ever need any help or questions.
Just wondering, does it have a coin slot?

No, thats how the monitor is designed, unless you want to change the whole monitor chassis.

Actually there is another set of adjustment knobs on the right hand side wall.

I wonder if there is a volume knob somewhere on this loud baby? If not, short of unplugging the speaker what else can you do?

There is a volume knob on the game board itself. Look at the top right corner of the game circuit board.

On the right side where your connection is >>> That black plastic round piece should be your volume control. Use a small screwdriver or even a steak knife and turn it .

Also if you can post a few more pictures of more things inside the cabinet we can tell you where your "switches" are that will tell you the game stats of the board. you short them together and the info shows up on the screen. Alot of the newer boards do not have the DIP switches you have. You short them out and make all settings with your play buttons. Have you found the "switch" on the outside of the cabinet to clear the games off yet  Tongue Out

Great found the volume switch! Also found a off and on switch, top left of board. What does that do? There are some more switches mounted on the left side, that I don't know what they do, see pic. I did find the outside switch to clear the game.

The previous picture of the center inside shows a set of switches to the chassis laying in the center. It has the gray harness wires. This was the old switches left when they changed from a 1997 to a 1999 chassis. The one that is actually hooked up is mounted to the right side wall as show in my last post.

The switch on the top left of the game board is the reset switch, be VERY careful with this switch, only use this switch when the machine is off if you use this switch when the machine is on it will damage the board. The switches mounted are what Randy was talking about, one is the payout percentage and the other is the game stats.
